why did you decide to call the website "Crash Test Money?

At Crash Test Money, we don’t write about personal finance topics without any direct experience.  Similar to how cars are crash tested to determine their safety, we test all areas of personal finance to see what works and what doesn’t.  We use our own money and time working with these strategies.  Therefore, our coverage of money topics at Crash Test Money is based on our real experiences and we have a genuine interest in the outcome.

Do you really have experience with the money topics you cover?

At Crash Test Money, we are dedicated to sharing personal finance information based on our own firsthand experience.  If there are any strategies we choose not to pursue, we will explain our reasoning and what led us to that decision.

Are you a finance professional?

No.  I am not a financial professional.
